Welding: Metal Chair

Welding: Metal Chair
During our second sprint/work session for CRT 222. I built and welded a metal chair using 6, ten-inch metal beams/pipes. I did this by using the metal cutter to get each piece separate and clean cut to begin welding the pieces together.
Once the pieces we cut, I began to use the technique of stick welding to join the metal pieces together to make sure they were firm and sturdy enough to withstand weight when sat on. I joined the two legs and the two legs stands together first. Once that was completed I joined the square seat together with the legs to make the finals chair.
Once the metal pieces were joined together. I went back and rewelded specific parts that needed more welding and time to make sure they were good welding to join the metal together.
Afterward, I measured the length and the width of the seating. I then took those measurements and measured it out on wood to make the wooden seating on top. After the wooden seating was cut, I used nails and a screwdriver to keep the wood secure and stable.
