Portrait of David Hockney, english painter, draftsman, printmaker, stage designer, and photographer
I'm a big fan of David Hockney. He makes beautiful work, and he makes many different kind of works, such as photographic collages, ipad drawings, paintings. In the photographic collages, he takes many pictures of his subject, which he merges into one image. In the ipad drawings, he uses variegated, bright colors. He paints the landscape, and he studies how to represent the spatial environment on a flat surface. In that, I think he is more of a scientist using art for his studies.
