UN SABOR DE ECUADOR
Ten recipes that give you a taste of Ecuador.
Being born in Ecuador, I decided to make recipe cards based around food that I grew up eating and food that comes from my home country. From my personal favorite breakfast food like Bolón de Verde to Horchata Lojana.
Leaning towards a more minimalist design approach, I wanted the back of the cards to reflect the simplicity of the design while also highlighting the complexity of some of the dishes. After making, cooking, and photographing all 10 recipes, I decided that the photographs should be a colorful monochromatic series.
The red on the packaging reflects the third color of the Ecuadorian flag and features an outline of the entire country once all the recipes are out of the box. The herbs cilantro, cumin, or parsley are featured in all the recipes and illustrated on the front of the box.
