Task: Create a 5 line short interesting and original story book based on any one of the 17 SDG Goals.
I choose 5th SDG goal which is Gender Equality and created a 5 line story called Perception. The story revolves around a mother and daughter small sweet conversation.
Perception:
My mom and I were watching our favorite TV show one morning. A sudden glitch appeared on the TV. My mom advised us to move the antenna. ‘But who will do that now that both your father and brother are outside’, she sighed. I rushed to the roof and started adjusting it right away. The antenna began to function after I shifted it left and then right. I came downstairs my mother was so delighted that she hugged me and said, ‘You are no less than a son’. ‘Ma, I'm proud to be your daughter, not son,’ I replied and hugged her back.
Task 2: Substitute each of the frames in your original story with another representation technique or method of illustration. Take inspiration from nature, art/design movements, craft/folk traditions, artists or illustrators.
I took Inspiration from Amrita Shergil and created the Illustrations in poster colour medium.
