Children's Micro-Library

Duration: 4 days
Academic Project
A micro-library designed for children between the age of 8 and 12.

The most important parts of this micro-library are the play area and the reading area. The play area overlooks the lake to the right. The shelves here are in the shapes of animals so that the children get excited to look at the books. There are two types of tables here. One is a house shaped table which is to make sure that the children do not bend too much and maintain their posture while working. The other table is a six chair round table allowing them to become social and have some formal conversations with others. The reading room is a very quiet and private space. Here, the children can take a desired book and read in their own space. The window nooks overlook the lake allowing them to stay calm and at peace.
