The following are a combination of designs that are used for Farm Experiences at Sara's Organic Farm. The designs are created to educate young school children about their food, agriculture, farm animals and the environment. Different design mediums have been utilized to convey the messages to the children in a fun way.
LUNCH-BAG STICKERS
CLAY CUPS
Each child receives a colorful pottery cup that they write their own name on as a way of taking responsibility for it and teaching them about re-using and why throwing away single-use plastic is bad for the environment.
PLANT-POT NAME LABELS
Children are taught by how to plant a seedling in a small pot that they get to take home and care for. These name labels are designed for the children to write their names on so they can be easily traces to the corresponding children at home time.
MAP OF THE DAY
Instead of a regular day schedule that the children wouldn't usually pay too much attention to, I've designed a map-style program where the children can simply see what they've already done and what is coming up next. That helps them feel part of the process and get excited for what they will be doing next.
