There’s always something new to be learned from history. It took us two years to design the labels for Archipelago, the multi-awarded gin line of Full Circle Distillers. We took our time with the process, drawing from archival texts & the rich tapestry of our visual history. The result is a story worth telling, about the beauty of our archipelago, the Philippines.

Letras y Figuras was our key visual. An art genre popularized during the Spanish colonial period, it was the perfect medium to tell the story of Archipelago.

After designing the custom logotype, we illustrated each individual scene. Every letter of the logo is unique and depicts every step of the gin-making process.

Drawings of flora and numismatic elements tie everything together. Inspired by the botanical drawings of Fr. Francisco Manuel Blanco, they form a rich tapestry of history, heritage, and Filipino pride.
