As the fourth edition of an independent annual project, this risograph is a Lunar Calendar displaying all moon phases of 2023 and their respective lunar signs. Risograph is a japanese printing method with low environmental impact that uses inks based on soy oil, which goes through a master screen made from banana leaf fiber or hemp fiber. Each of the colors is printed separately with the result of a unique texture that cannot be replicated; often there are small imperfections in the texture of the ink coverage, which is a charming feature of this technique.
The graphic composition of this edition of the calendar was inspired by the Brazilian flag,
or at least by its astronomical aspects — in the circle are the 27 stars of our starry flag,
with their constellations duly named over a pink and blue sky.
