The Human-Centered Clock

ART SOLVING PROBLEMS
The Human-Centered Clock uses our biological rhythms to measure time. Listening to the seconds drain out of the day can be stressful. The Human-Centered Clock provides a frictionless new relationship with time by connecting time to our human physiology. The clock is designed around our circadian rhythms, not minutes and seconds. The device "breathes" in and out at regular intervals, and through mirror neurons, the user unconsciously synchronizes their own breathing to the clock. The clock changes hue with the sun, bringing important lighting cues indoors to influence melatonin production. By prioritizing biology, the clock promotes better health through design. The Human-Centered Clock encourages mindfulness, manages cortisol, and induces sleep. The user is effortlessly guided through their day.
