resonance, an interactive light installation

Concept:
Resonance is an interactive light module that senses the presence of an entity through the element of sound. It visualises one presence by converting sound data into an oscillating movement with the use of light, it maps the sound intensity with the rate and duration of the oscillating. The amplification of one presence is through the propagation of the light movement, it propagates from the sound origin and travels only as far as the origin sound intensity allows.  When multiple sets of propagation meet, the different sets will build upon each other value and re-propagate from the meeting point, therefore creating the sparking effect.

Concept:

Through resonance,

the presence of an entity is amplified,

the sparks of life emerge when multiple presences meet.

The life of the resonance decays over time.

resonance, is the reflection of life itself.
