“The Horse Stables” is an ethnographic study of Chandelle Heffner, trying to shed light on her relationship with animals.
Through a series of interviews, I chose to narrow in on her relationship with animals and her tendency to anthropomorphize the animals in her life, specifically her horse. After several photoshoots, I settled on a series of photographs taken during one shoot that was particularly dynamic in regards to the moods of Chandelle and her horse, Folklorica.
The ‘parcel’ packaging aims at adding a precious quality to her relationship with her horse and how she grants us access into this world within the horse stables.
