Week 8 - Packaging Design

Plated is an online service that delivers fresh ingredients for chef-crafted recipes. To increase customer adoption and brand exposure, Plated could consider opening physical pop up stores in urban office hubs. Instead of navigating an online service and clicking through pages of content, new users could physically pick through boxes of ingredients. The pop up stores could also sell smaller boxes of "mix and go" products that do not require cooking to target on-the-go customers.

A Takeout Box for Homemade Meals: The biodegradable box doubles as a bowl for the finished product.
Presentation: Boxes will be stored in drawer units. The top case of the drawer will have a glass top, and customers will be able to browse using the meal pictures. The refrigerated drawers below will contain the filled boxes of ingredients and recipes.
Store Display: The drawer units will be organized according to chef and day. For example, one drawer unit will be dedicated to Chef Elana's recipes. It will display 7 boxes, labeled as one for each day of the week.
