The banners celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Jewish Studies Program at Cornell University. 

The program teaches about Jewish cultures old as well as new, and aims to attract not just Jewish students but also those outside the community. For this reasons, I choose as inspiration objects that are meaningful in the Jewish culture such as the menorah and dreidel, but with a modern, almost abstract twist.
