Brief: Create a magazine with imagery or illustrations that are inspired by short stories and poems.

Weave is a homonym. The name " weave" was inspired by the idea of weaving paper to create an artwork but also the idea of weaving words together to give writing meaning. The short stories and poems are all set in South Africa and include themes such as heartbreak, adversity, and tradition. 

The front cover was created by weaving different textures of paper to create a "weaved" design. The weaved paper was then scanned in and edited onto the cover. The cover was designed to highlight the beauty of weaving.
