Evening gown design and build. Design is a modern take on an 18th century silhouette.
Dress
Taffeta bodice with velvet straps. Custom drafted pattern with starburst inspired seam placement. There's also a separate underbodice for structure/support. Bottom is a tulle layer over a silk skirt hand embroidered around 200 starbursts with rhinestones.
Accessories
Belt was created using a buckle from 1950s. Hair pin is from the 20s/30s mounted onto a buckram headpiece that I built. Brooch used for the necklace is from the late 1800s on a velvet ribbon. Shoes were hand painted to match.
