As part of a studio art final project, this 4' x 7' colored pencil and ink drawing is an exploration of texture and space. When friends and colleagues asked about the inspiration behind the piece, I wanted to create a contrast to most students dark, sensitive charcoal drawings with a bright, colorful self portrait of being rocked in the side of the face. Why not?
