In my illustrations I always pay attention to the meanings that speak to the viewer.
This series is a set of illustrations that are very different in mood, style, details and their meanings.
First series has 3 self-portraits. They go from less to more detailed.
It is interesting how, depending on the style, the nature of the work also changes.
The image of seraphim is both calm and frightening because of the red eyes that look as if into the soul.
The illustration with a double meaning — at first glance it is the sea and the rocks. But if you look closely, the rocks take on the appearance of pillows and the sea becomes an endless blanket canvas. And the whole landscape seems to be an illusion, a surreal dream world.
I asked a classmate to give me a task for illustration. The result was a crazy mix of acid, Mona Lisa, horror and anime. He approved the sketch and I added color and a detailed background.
My love for peonies is reflected in this bright pattern.
People's emotions are so fickle. The tragedy of the fool is to seem, not to be. One half of him is so unhappy but the other half should always look serene and happy.
Another task of the classmate was to create a copy of the Birth of Venus in the form of an illustration with an unbroken line.
The result was an illustration, somewhat similar to a coloring book, which I decided to fill in with color. So, the illustration became more voluminous and saturated.
