Pinot Noir Wine Label

This wine project was one I did while in college that focused on creating a high-end wine label. This was one of my many customized lettering projects that I had the most fun with.
Final Vector Script
Starting out, I had to create a simple script piece titled "Pinot Noir" and it had to resemble that of a high-end wine brand. You want to be able to grab your viewer's attention and every little piece matters. This script took many revisions to ensure that everything was right, from the flourishes to the script connections.
Final Vector Label (Black & White)
After many label sketches, I've decided that I wanted to challenge myself. Everything from the flourishes and script were all thoughtfully considered. I also wanted to add something a little more to the project, so I've used the font Baskerville to help push it a little further. This one was a pain to vectorize, but once I started to flow, everything started falling in place. One of my best lettering pieces yet!
Final Vector on Mockup
Displayed above is my final piece presented on a wine mockup. I had many different ideas for this piece, such as the label having a red background. But, since that didn't work, I thought, why not make the label more like a sticker. Something that looks like it could be peeled off. Ultimately, I thought this was a good direction for it to go, and so I stuck with it.
In the end, it came out better than I envisioned and is one of my best pieces!
