S+TRL

In this personal project I designed a modular trail running shoe for ///. I love runnning, especially light trails in the woods. Here I can calm down, meditate, think about life and come up with new ideas, solutions for particular topics and just enjoy flora and fauna.

PROCESS & EXPERIMENTS

Here you see some slides from the making of phase where I used moodboards, sketches, rough 3d and mockups to find the right function and shape. I used Blender 3d for modeling and rendering and Substance Painter for Texturing.

MODULARITY

I strongly believe as you might already saw on my personal project “System” in modularity. Especially in performance footwear you clearly see that some parts wear out pretty quickly whereas other parts like the upper age very well without loosing there perfomance properties.

SOLE

Traction is crucial in trail running, whether up- or downhill. The aggressive design was inspired by mountains and valleys giving the shoe a great bite on all off road trails.

360° BRANDING

The /// are not just decoration but rather a functional element wrapping around the food to contain it perfectly while running.

SUMMER CMF

The community asked for an orange summer version with some retro hiking vibes. Little perforations keeps your foot cold during long hot runs.

WHITE

Summer is about white sneakers. A clean approach for this additional colorway.
