This is the first post for a kintec text project I am completeing for my CGI module. For this project we were asked to pick an audio track from a selection from our lecturer, we then had to animate the lyrics of our chosen track on screen in time to the music using Adobe After Effects. I chose the track the dead only quickly decay by the 6ths. The reason I chose this track was because out of all of the tracks I think this one was the most enjoyable to listen to over and over again. I could clearly imagine what I wanted to see on screen as the audio played, it gave me great ideas.

After selecting the track I made a moodboard of my initial ideas, concepts, styles and imagery that I associated with my take on the song. I wanted to use stark imagery with minimalist design and a colour pallette that would emphasize the words as they appeared on screen and make the visuals that bit more appealing and eye catching.  

Next I started to sketch and decide on what ideas would work for the project, I consulted my lecturer on what ideas would work and what ideas would be harder to transfer from paper to After Effects. I listened to the track and searched for similar piano tunes, and music from the 20's and 30's to get a feel for what I wanted my project to convey about the music.
