I began by playing around with textures and images from Google.
To make the above image I cut apart and inverted an old Warlord cover after repeatedly replicating it to create a net pattern.
I continued the processes of creating and cutting patterns, but this time using images from my own library.
After creating a couple of patterns I liked, I began experimenting with mixing them together in different combinations.
I began to add some environmental elements so that the figures didn't just float in mid air.
I played with negative space to reduce the information on the page, this made the image easier to read and draws focus to the figure.
This is the final image for the piece. I used a white figure because it balanced well with the text page.
