Salt Creek Tiger Beetle and the Ecosystems fragility

First Rendition
At University of Nebraska-Lincoln, In my advanced graphic design class, I was tasked with creating a large scale concept poster. The practice was to get a better understanding with mapping, charting, and diagraming. This concept poster was partnered with One Health. One Health wants the public to understand that we are all one and everything is impacted by one thing or another. We tasked to chose a topic and make our own concept.

For my concept, I chose the salt creek tiger beetle and it's relation to our ecosystem. I wanted to zoom into the micro and zoom out to the macro. Throughout this project I learned about the insect, the salt marsh, how we effect both, and the environments impact. I wanted to create a pop up installation, by having this insect be the mascot of the ecosystem it's located in. I created the Salt creek tiger beetle in Cinema 4D and created a mock up of how it would look in space.
