Not as slow as a snail

Color Studies
Initially, the best place to start was the reference. I decided to look for a small animal/insect with little colors and ended up with a snail on a leaf
After I had chosen my image, I had to determine which colors I would use for the four color schemes. Initially, I search which color was associated with a snail and landed on pink and when I moved to complementary and tried to get a green leaf while still being close to pink. I kept on trying to keep focus on a danger pink and nature green throughout the color selection process.
Finally, it came time to recreate the original image by using the brush tool from Photoshop on an empty layer on top. Originally, I tried to create a realistic snail with the monochromatic color. Afterwards, I would create the next image using the previous creation to create a bit of distortion throughout. Once the distortion was not to my liking, I tried a tad bit of simplified lines and created the final image using triad colors.
