Flax Costume // Pattern Making, Painting Fabric & Sewing
A costume designed based off of a specific Czech wildflower. Flax flower biology inspired the form of the costume. Cotton jersey was hand painted with fabric paint to acheive an ombre gradient effect for use on the inside of the hood and in the side drapery. Costume construction was based off of original muslin patterns, both half size and full size. All parts of the garment were designed and sewn in the studio.
