This project stems from my love of music and audio equipment. I wanted to create something that would both display and hold headphones without causing them long term stress or damage. Using pieces of oak, a solid block of aluminum and a stick of layered carbon fiber, I sought to find the ideal form for my headphones.

In an effort to soften the transition form aluminum to wood I hand sanded a wood grain pattern into the aluminum.
The arch of the wood is shaped to match the curve of the headband.
