For the Brochure Project I chose to create a travel guide for Anchorage, Alaska. I wanted to capture the beauty of Alaska and display the amazing wilderness this state has to offer. It was hard to narrow down the specific topics about Anchorage to be used in the brochure because there is so much to do in Anchorage. For the cover and fold in I chose to use photos that accurately displayed how beautiful the region is. My hope in this design is that it draws the reader into wanting to know more about Anchorage. The inside of the brochure highlights a few activities that can be done within the city and out. While still using eye-capturing photos, the inside provides a lot of information about what there is to do in Alaska. The first page acts as a little intro to Anchorage, while the remaining two provides specific information. The colors I used in this brochure is a sky blue and light mint green. These colors are meant to display the atmosphere of the region. The mint green you would see in the Northern lights and the blue you will see every where. From the ocean, to distant mountains, to the sky itself.
