This was an intaglio printmaking project, using small tools to scratch the surface of my copper plate, then letting it sit in acid to etch into each line, to allow a place for the ink to stay until rolled under the printing press. It is a remake of the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs book but it references my uncle. I used photoshop to reconstruct the face to look more like him, and changed out the mug with a glass of Fireball (his favorite drink), and switched the pair of shoes for a pair of tennis shoes with a very subtle hole in them. 

It was a long process with many steps but I could not be happier with how it turned out!
