I started with sketches exploring the idea of a small table or shelf unit that expanded into a board game table.

I developed this sketch into the final product.

I continuously made models and sketches throughout the process.

There was lots of trial and error in making the legs open together.

I used cafe hinges in the base so the legs would only touch the floor in their fully opened position.

The leaves are conviently stored in two of the doors (leaves not shown above).

Dowels slide out from the top to support the leaves.
