These are derivative works. Specifically, images from out of copyright books and - in the case of the Seattle skyline - from public domain images are used as the base for building vector compositions. Artistic elements on my part are thus closer to layout, but include color choice, element positioning, vector cleanup, and the myriad other technical details in recovering and converting often low-quality and low resolution source material.
