Talavera Wedding Collection
TYPOGRAPHY, LAYOUT, PRINT DESIGN
A wedding should feel formal and luxurious. But, when the wedding is held on a tropical Mexican beach, the rules can get a little looser. For this series of print projects, I did extensive research into Mexican talavera pottery design—the main inspiration. The final pieces stick to that color scheme of blue and white, and have a distinct hand-done feel, which pervades Mexican design and gives each piece a personalized feel. The font chosen for the headline was meant to echo the hand-done effect, but Garamond stands as a legible and elegant body copy.

A sample name tag, placed on the table.
Menus were printed in English on one side, and Spanish on the other.
