Research / inspirations :
David Laven - film director
David Laven is a film director, and producer for film , television and advertising . He is emmy nominated , SXSW (south by south west ) selected , amazon prime , HBO , HULU etc. He has filmed a few films and one that is amongst my visual inspiration ( Asap Rocky's ' Suddenly ' Doc ). He is also responsible for filming and director films such as the " Alexander Wang : sisters " , " Black Market with Micheal k williams " and more .
He is one of my inspirations because of the film he did for music artist and creative director ASAP ROCKY. I have watched this film over 50 times in realistic timing because of the atmosphere it brings and the way the film is put together and its authenticity and rawness. This film is probably my most favourite film and I have been in love with it since my early teen years. This made me decide to pursue my film under that inspiration and more , trying to duplicate cameos and scenes and create my own form of authenticity with that in my film .
"HUND" - YouTuber
"Hund" is a YouTuber and fan of Modern day black rock / hip-hop /trap music /punk star Playboi Carti . Not much information is disclosed about him as he is a 'youtuber' unfortunately however, his film was great and well rounded and inspired me with making my own . A lot of 'youtubers' and fans of music artist like to make fan made videos of their favourite artist to show homage . Various amounts of them are great such as his one of Playboi Carti / AKA CA$H CARTI named "Playboi Carti : Road To Red" inspired by his (CARTI's) highly successful album in 2020 " RED " . I was inspired by the tight selective editing and the structure and post production of the film . It's almost like he got full permission to construct it and had help from real film directors. On the other hand, this is just a film put together from already published clips of the Rap superstar. This is why I am inspired because of how original it ended up being .
