Journey To The West: Demon Recipe Book

A project that challenges one to extrapolate fact into fiction or fiction into fact. Choosing a well-known Chinese novel; Journey To The West, the narrative is broken down into three collections of core elements such as characters, places, and events. Using these collections as material and content, the events from the narratives are visually re-represented in terms of a demon recipe book. The narratives are being recounted from a new perspective of the demons and how different demons have their own unique recipe based on their strengths to cook the monk's meat.
