Halo Dish Covers

Halo Dish Covers
I have chosen to do a retro bloom theme for Halo Dish Covers. Retro bloom relates to a style of the past. Postmodern design developments had been introduced to the public during the sixties and seventies. Many design movements such as the punk movement were created during this time.  The name of my theme that I have created is called Groovy Hippie.
Retro bloom signifies the concepts of vintage print styles, and hippie illustrations. The hippie movement consists of symbols such as peace signs, flowers, and rainbows. The vintage retro style of design and hippie symbols form part of the retro bloom theme, and this can be applied to print design.
My series of print designs has symbols that represent the retro bloom theme. I have used symbols such as the moon, sun, stars, and flowers. I have applied design elements and principles in my series of designs. The first design is a hippie mandala design. The intention of the first design is to promote the flower power spirit during the sixties and seventies.  The intention in my second sketch is to promote retro vintage styles of design, and has a radial repeat pattern. The third halo dish cover has motifs such as repetitive patterns of clouds, moons, and the stars. I have used this to also represent a night look and feel. The third design displays a retro bloom theme as the symbols signify the hippie spirit. The fourth halo dish cover design is a big sun symbol placed at the centre of the halo dish cover. I have further simplified and improved my designs as it looked too detailed.
