The purpose of this project was to create a building that would represent a dam in both physical and metaphorical sense in order to achieve a perfect balance between two close but yet so different parts of the city, with one being peaceful and the other being the complete opposite. The solution that I had come up with was to generate an architectural model that would represent a sonic barrier considering its enormous height. Halfway through the project it occurred to me that with the building this tall the two parts of the city would be totally isolated from one another which was not initially planned. For the purpose of solving this problem I designed a vitreous passageway out of lower sequence of the object forming a visual as well as physical bond between the calm neighbourhood and the lousy street.
