Moby Dick vs. Japanese Whalers

This was a project where we had to take a well known story and add our twist to it.

I did this using indian ink and a calligraphy pen. This was my first time working in this medium and so it was a bit of a challenge but great fun. I was especially inspired by the work of Franklin Booth whose works are just so magnificent and musical. 

 

I'm passionate about animal rights so I thought that this would be a fun opportunity to do something that would humor and strike a chord with me. Hope you enjoy.
