Cranes on their way South
Summer is over and for the cranes that means it is time to migrate south again. Quite a unique nature spectacle to attend! The ongoing protection of the cranes benefited their population growth over the last years, but their future is still dependent on their wintering grounds and resting places along their migratory route.
This is an illustration of the crane migration in northern Germany, with cranes coming from Sweden and migrating to Spain and north Africa.
