TIMELINE
꽃 by Kim Chun Soo
What is "nothing more than a twitch" becomes "something" through the poet's sensitive naming. The "flower" in this poem is a metaphor for a meaningful life rather than just a pretty plant with a nice perfume. It is a live presence. Like the flower, which must be perceived in order to exist, the "I" also yearns to be seen. He cannot have any kind of meaningful existence unless "I" is given a name. Because of this, "I" yearns to hear his name mentioned. His needs are similar to those of the flower. For an item to be expanded, to have a meaningful representation, for an object to be expanded, or for an object to develop itself, there must be an existence first.
