A metaphorical space.

This project is a reminiscence of my birthplace Jaipur. The painting is evolved from the musings I have for Jaipur. 

Lived in a Haveli (a mansion) like facade which was shared by other residents as well. Each one having separate stairs to go to their home within the Haveli. Staying in these havelis is very common in Pinkcity. A courtyard in between which is shared by all and defines the identity of each home.

From temples to homes such style can be seen at most places in old city of Jaipur.

The painting is made by using two acrylic hues yellow ochre and purple in different values.

This was a project of metaphorical space which I did as part of summer intensive program for fine arts at Parsons.
