Samuel Beckett Play Series

A series of book covers designed for some of Samuel Beckett's most famous plays. Cover typography hand made and photographed. Dirt is often used in Beckett's plays to describe the barren scenery where they take place. The typography illustrates the major imagery of the play through use of the same symbolism that can be found in its contents. For example, in Happy Days, the main character is slowly buried in a mound of dirt until only her head can be seen coming out of the top. Thus the title is buried in the same fashion.
