A new brand for Egypt Appliance was needed to be established that focuses on the needs of the growing market; young newly wed couples. In this case a minimal, easy-to-manufacture and easy-to-produce kitchen was required. Therefore, the concept of simple block units that can be changed based on the size and needs of each individual couple's needs was developed in a team along side Designer Nikolai Burger.
Simplistic kitchen design to suit the needs of the modern market.
One of the key features developed in the kitchen is the "expandables" growing unit (shown on the far bottom left) that expands based on the needs of the user. Should one need a high surface for cutting or preparation it can fold upwards. In the case that the user needs a storage unit, seat or step it folds downwards and provides this.
The main intention of this design is for the company to establish a relationship with its users by first understanding the size and shape of their kitchen then providing them with a drawing containing the same units that are manufactured but in a unique layout to each user.
Further development of this concept can allow the users their own freedom to create their layout on an onlne application and this image is sent to the company to prepare the design.
The design is currently in production by the company.
