Biomimetic chaise lounge

Created using Midjourney - The above image is inspired by spider silk formations, The process was directed to form a fluid cocoon chaise lounge.

I have always been fascinated with the concept behind the project Gemini by Neri Oxman. The above explores a different materiality exploration.
I remember scrolling by the blue milk mushroom and its deep blue hue caught my eye. The more I read about it the more I wanted to test out fusing nature patterns and forms into design. Not exactly what i had imagined but it caught it's hue and the interpretation of the prompt was interesting.
I love its vibrant hues and patterns. This example maintained the form of a chaise lounge but adapted its materiality to the skin texture of the chameleon. It also seems to have fused panther + chameleon into the mix!
The second exploration included is a mundane form+color exploration of the blue poppy flower, been recently obsessed with the color blue! Some cute forms.
This image derives its inspiration from slime mould. It's a fascinating organism well known for its biomimetic translation of neural networks, shortest pathways, and resource mapping. I wanted to focus on its cellular stage of growth and see how that is interpreted by midjourney.
I've thrown in some prompts that focuses on Marine life, the underside design of certain species gills and skeleton framework. Quite an interesting result.
