This is a design I came up with when challenged to create a Hatch Show Print inspired poster featuring the band of my choice. This was quite the daunting challenge as Hatch Show Print was something that I had never previously heard of. However, after some extensive research, I started to quickly fall in love with the style. From the stars and the stripes, to the weathered and torn look, there's just so many reasons why this art style stands out. All these things and more, I really wanted to include and be made apparent within my poster, I brought the stars, the stripes, the texture, the shadows, etc and brought them all together create a visually interesting poster for the band, The Driver Era. I was also tasked with including a physical textile aspect to this project and torn paper made for the perfect addition. Using just a few sheets of paper, a marker and the ability to draw a star, I was able to include a nice visual texture that brings your eyes down the the bottom of the page for the full experience.
