Natalie Horn Exile Album Cover

My album cover is based off of Exile by Taylor Swift featuring Bon Iver. When creating the cover I started by creating three large ovals with a black gradient. These ovals represent the sadness in the song, they are all different and not perfect much like the two people in the song. The song is problematic but is about a peaceful breakup with two people who just do not go together anymore. The ovals also resemble mirrors just like how the two people are mirroring what the other says "You never gave a warning sign"- Bon Iver "I gave so many signs" - Taylor Swift. The ovals have a red and blue drip that I created using a custom brush from Brusheezy.com. This dripping effect symbolizes the sadness and conflict that is literally dripping out of the two people when using their words. The next part I created was the text. I chose a custom font from DAFONT.com that I felt represented the title and the two singers. Exile is written in a dripping font much like the brush used at the top of the ovals, I chose this because it represented the strife between the two people that is dripping out of them through words. The word Exile is split between the three ovals because the word exile means being banished or expelled so I felt it was right for the word to be exiled itself. Taylor Swift is written all around the cover because she is such a famous and influential person that when someone would see the album cover they would most likely want to listen to it because she is apart of it. Bon Iver is written three times across the bottom in bright colors because he is such an asset to the song and deserves to be in bright colors that stand out. I feel like the fonts I chose for the singers names really remind me of them.
