MANI BHAVANA ALA's profile

Indigo striped wool

A one day woven project where coarse hand-spun wool dyed in Indigo, from Khamir was woven in weft on a 2/20s cotton warp.
Various densities, dominantly lighter ones were explored while beating to achieve a reduced effect of the coarseness of the material, making it more comfortable to touch/wear.
Alongside, visual lines were composed through beating densities, so as to keep up the strength of the fabric sample.
