“Oil Spill” is the first in a series of ink paintings documenting human impact on the ocean.

Oil spills happen when a pipeline breaks, ships collide, underground storage tanks leak, or when an oil rig explodes. Although accidental, oil spills take a huge toll on the environment. “Oil Spill” illustrates the sea life destroyed by human error.

Clean energy is paramount to the future of ocean health. The best way to prevent oil spills is to minimize oil use. It is  up to the consumer to cut energy use, avoid plastics and limit vehicle dependence as much as possible.
