This is my personal project about Naumachia, a naval battle waged by Gladiators at the Colosseum. Before making this picture, I read the background story of this historical battle, each article did not say specifically what kind of ship the Gladiators were used so I decided to design the ship by myself.

I was inspired by the ancient Greek and Roman naval ship called Trireme but I turned it into a boat because I don't think the Colosseum has a big gate for a large ship like Trireme to enter the arena.
