Meanwhile, A World Away

"Meanwhile, A World Away"
"Meanwhile, A World Away" began as an Illustrator project for a class. The main objective was to design a stamp. This piece was inspired by the table-top game Amber, a diceless system based on books by Roger Zelazney. In that universe, you can have an infinite number of slight changes to the world as we know it, or a world whose very nature would make it necessary for us to be shapeshifters. For the piece, I chose a whimisical subject that was still close to us, but altered in a fantastical way. I tried to make a work that looked aged and slightly imperfect and imitated printing and woodcutting techniques with the aesthetic.
