This was a study of connection methods. The connections between image and grid, grid and dimension, and sticks and planes represents a study of connection at various scales. How materials combine, intertwine, support one another, and act structurally become the issues studied in the design.

In exploring the drafted ‘grid’ drawings, we pushed them further and moved to give them three-dimensionality. The grids became viewed as spatial expressions, the lines and spaces between the lines of the drawings became three dimensional. Keeping balance and order in mind, iterative models became the next step.
