Fantasy Self Portrait
As my first self-portrait project, I wanted to make a portrait that would seem like a fantasy or a dream. Initially, the project was headed towards an image of myself, stylus in hand, thinking of a scene to draw, which would have been this current portrait floating above my head as a thought bubble. Despite the original prompt asking for a picture made of multiple images alongside at least one image of myself, I still included all 3 of my brothers to stand with me against whatever monstrosity got in our way.

While the project was fun to work on, it didn't come without its fair share of problems. The biggest obstacle I had to overcome was building up the background, as I was having trouble coming up with a layout that matched the feel I was looking for. After various background changes, I decided to use the brush tool to darken the sides and ceiling instead. This helped me keep the cave feel I wanted while also gaining the sense of the open vastness I was going for.
