Lady Light

The Malthouse Design Centre, 2012

Lady was a continuation from my graduate collection of lighting designs. It was inspired by the soft, elegant curves of veneer wood. Bending the wood in this way allowed it to show off it’s organic curves and using very thin veneer allowed for the light to pass thorugh softly. It perfectly combined the desire for an organic shape whilst giving off a warm glow when illuminated.

It gained much coverage in national newspapers and magazines, was exhibited in national Design fairs such as Showcase Ireland and sold to architectural firms as well as individual clients.
